紐約市老年局將在8月向紐約市老年居民分發新鮮農產品(圖)

【看中國2026年8月18日訊】紐約訊，紐約市老年局（NYC Aging）今日宣布啟動一項為期一個月的計畫，旨在幫助解決紐約市老年居民面臨的食品保障問題。該計畫將在8月期間，於全市五大行政區舉辦數十場免費的「快閃」分發活動，共計分發約24,000袋新鮮農產品。
紐約市老年局與八家社區組織合作，資助了這些每週舉辦的農產品分發活動。活動旨在將新鮮果蔬直接送到老年人居住的社區，方便他們獲取。每家參與活動的機構每週將分發約600袋新鮮農產品，從而為數千名60歲及以上的紐約市民提供更多食品選擇。
「通過這項令人振奮的計畫，紐約市老年局正將新鮮、營養豐富的農產品直接送到五大行政區的各個社區，」紐約市老年局局長Lisa Scott-McKenzie博士表示，「我們與社區夥伴攜手合作，不僅幫助數千名老年人更便利地獲取健康食品，還將他們與紐約市老年局提供的更廣泛服務網路聯繫起來。」
「紐約市老年局的‘農產品快閃’計畫是一項首創舉措，體現了本屆政府致力於減輕紐約市生活成本壓力，並確保老年人在其居住社區獲得營養食品的承諾，」負責衛生與公共服務的副市長Helen Arteaga博士說道，「我們很自豪能與Scott-McKenzie局長及其團隊以及社區組織網路合作，開創創新方式，為有需要的紐約市老年居民提供至關重要的資源。」
當前，許多老年人仍面臨食品價格上漲和經濟壓力加劇的困境。許多60歲及以上的紐約市民依靠固定收入生活，並受到近期食品援助計畫（包括SNAP和Medicaid）削減的影響，這使得他們獲取新鮮、營養食品變得更加困難。
