纽约市老年局将在8月向纽约市老年居民分发新鲜农产品(图)

【看中国2026年8月18日讯】纽约讯，纽约市老年局（NYC Aging）今日宣布启动一项为期一个月的计划，旨在帮助解决纽约市老年居民面临的食品保障问题。该计划将在8月期间，于全市五大行政区举办数十场免费的“快闪”分发活动，共计分发约24,000袋新鲜农产品。

纽约市老年局与八家社区组织合作，资助了这些每周举办的农产品分发活动。活动旨在将新鲜果蔬直接送到老年人居住的社区，方便他们获取。每家参与活动的机构每周将分发约600袋新鲜农产品，从而为数千名60岁及以上的纽约市民提供更多食品选择。

“通过这项令人振奋的计划，纽约市老年局正将新鲜、营养丰富的农产品直接送到五大行政区的各个社区，”纽约市老年局局长Lisa Scott-McKenzie博士表示，“我们与社区伙伴携手合作，不仅帮助数千名老年人更便利地获取健康食品，还将他们与纽约市老年局提供的更广泛服务网络联系起来。”

“纽约市老年局的‘农产品快闪’计划是一项首创举措，体现了本届政府致力于减轻纽约市生活成本压力，并确保老年人在其居住社区获得营养食品的承诺，”负责卫生与公共服务的副市长Helen Arteaga博士说道，“我们很自豪能与Scott-McKenzie局长及其团队以及社区组织网络合作，开创创新方式，为有需要的纽约市老年居民提供至关重要的资源。”

当前，许多老年人仍面临食品价格上涨和经济压力加剧的困境。许多60岁及以上的纽约市民依靠固定收入生活，并受到近期食品援助计划（包括SNAP和Medicaid）削减的影响，这使得他们获取新鲜、营养食品变得更加困难。

该项目得以开展，离不开与以下机构的合作：
