原文：At least four suspected militants have been killed in a US drone attack in north-west Pakistan, officials say. A militant hideout was targeted in the South Waziristan tribal region, Pakistani intelligence officials said.

Suspect可以當名詞，意思相當清楚，就是"嫌疑人"、"嫌犯"，但這個字還可以當動詞跟形容詞，意思都跟"可疑"、"懷疑"有關。例如當形容詞的時候可以這麼用：The president's commitment to the cause of democracy and human rights has always been suspect.（這位總統促進民主與人權的決心，一直受到質疑。）

比較麻煩的是當動詞用的時候，特別是何時要用suspect，何時要用doubt的問題。最簡單的區分法，就是suspect是"認為有，或者可能"、doubt是"認為沒有，或者認為不可能"。

在無人飛機發明之前，drone當名詞是指雄蜂，當動詞是"發出嗡嗡的聲音"，可以用來講機器或講課語調沒什麼高低起伏的老師。

Military intelligence是軍事情報（單位），intelligence這個字也有"智力"的意思，因此有人挖苦搞軍事情報的人說，military intelligence是個oxymoron（矛盾詞），也就是以兩個相互矛盾的字所組成的詞。意思是"軍人哪有什麼聰明智慧可言？"

其他常見的oxymoron包括open secret（公開的秘密）、pretty ugly（挺糟的）。
