美國東北部這場水災迄今已造成至少十二人死亡（馬里蘭州與賓州各四人，維吉尼亞州一人，紐約州三人 )，隨著連日豪雨帶來的破記錄洪水，導致須斯罕那河水位上升，賓州光是受災最嚴重的路澤恩郡維克斯巴勒市周遭地區，即有多達二十萬人被迫撤離家園。此外，新澤西、紐約、維吉尼亞與馬里蘭，也有成千上萬災民撤離家園。
